Book

The Winter Hare Andrew Haslen

This book is a selection of the work that Andrew produced in a two year period when he reared three orphaned hares. It forms a fascinating collage of sketches, studies and paintings inspired by them and the wild hares around him. Also included are pictures of other animals, wild and domestic he encountered during this time.

The Wildlife Art Gallery

The Gallery was opened in 1988 to specialise in 20th Century and contemporary wildlife art. Over the years we have held retrospective exhibitions by artists such as Peter Scott, Eric Ennion, Donald Watson and R.B.Talbot Kelly and have had exhibitions by many of the best artists working both here and in Europe. We also have a strong representation of paintings depicting the countryside, its landscape and work. Epitomising these have been the exhibitions of the artists George Soper and Harry Becker. We have published several books including a number in the Artists for Nature Foundation series. The gallery is in the centre of one of England’s prettiest medieval villages (next door to the Swan Hotel) and has over 2500 sq.ft.of exhibition space.View website
